Early-maturing hybrid of grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) 'IGGOR®' is designed for grain production. The plant has medium height, symmetrical, medium and dense panicles, as well as short glumes that turn black upon maturity. The grain is round-elliptical, yellow, with a glassy endosperm structure. The vegetation period is 105-115 days, enabling very early or early harvest. Average grain yield reaches 23 c/ha, with a maximum recorded yield of 53.2 c/ha, significantly exceeding standard values. The 'IGGOR®' variety exhibits high resistance to lodging and diseases, as well as high drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Russia, including the Lower Volga region. An important feature is very low tannin content (<0.1%), positively affecting grain quality and its use in feed purposes. The plant has weak or absent anthocyanin pigmentation of coleoptile and coleorhiza, as well as light-colored midrib of the flag leaf with weak yellow pigmentation. 'IGGOR®' is a modern grain sorghum variety combining high yield, resistance to adverse factors, and low agronomic requirements. Due to these qualities, it is widely used in feed production and successfully adapted to growing conditions in Russia, ensuring a stable and high-quality grain harvest.
