DKC5007

DKC5007 Sweet Corn is a high-yielding, versatile hybrid characterized by its adaptability and plasticity to various soil-climatic conditions. The plants feature a strong stalk ranging from 260 to 290 cm in height and a well-developed root system, ensuring resistance to lodging and full physiological development. Leaves are dark green, and the stalk is a remontant type, remaining green during grain maturation. The hybrid tolerates high temperatures well and demonstrates rapid moisture release during ripening, which is especially important for cultivation in dry and southern regions of Ukraine.

The grain of DKC5007 is dent-type, yellow-orange in color, with high protein content (10.9%) and starch content (77.3%). The 1000-grain weight ranges from 330 to 370 grams. The ears are cylindrical-conical in shape, 22-25 cm long and 5.0-5.5 cm in diameter, with 18 to 22 rows and 640 to 800 kernels per ear. The ear attachment height is 100-110 cm, facilitating harvesting and reducing yield losses.

The DKC5007 hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine, as well as under conditions of insufficient and adequate moisture. It positively responds to early planting dates and fully realizes its potential on irrigated lands. The recommended planting density is 55,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture and 65,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare in areas with adequate moisture. High tolerance to common corn diseases makes this hybrid a reliable choice for various cultivation technologies.
