ZODCHIY

Sorrel "Zodchiy" – a perennial herbaceous plant that quickly gains growth and becomes ready for harvest within 50 days after sowing seeds. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, with a diameter of 35 to 55 cm and a height of 17–25 cm; leaves are long, elliptical, light green with a slight crease and a short petiole. The maximum plant height reaches 70 cm, and the mass of one specimen is about 110 g.

The culture is characterized by high yield: when planted per square meter, up to 5 kg of leafy greens can be obtained. Sorrel is rich in vitamins (especially vitamin C), proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, and organic acids, making it a valuable ingredient in the diet.

Freshly harvested leaves are used to prepare first courses, pie fillings, salads, and omelets. Jellies are also made from them, and if necessary, they are salted, canned, dried, or frozen for the winter. After cutting, young shoots quickly regrow, allowing for multiple harvests throughout the season.

Sowing sorrel is done in spring (April–May), but winter sowing is possible for early production. This approach ensures a steady flow of fresh greens even during cool periods of the year.
