Description EMERALD CARPET
Emerald Carpet is an early-maturing sorrel variety that starts producing yield as early as 30‑40 days after sowing and reaches the first harvest in June or July. The leaves are large, oval‑elongated, light green, smooth, with a slight sour taste, making them especially pleasant when fresh.

The variety is characterized by high yield: over two harvest periods, you can collect from 5 to 10 kg of greens per square meter. The leaves grow quickly and densely, so they can be harvested several times during the season – this is convenient both for home consumption and commercial cultivation. Emerald Carpet is rich in vitamins (especially ascorbic acid), macro‑ and microelements, making it a valuable addition to the diet.

For planting, a spacing of 25×35 cm is recommended, and sowing can be done in April–May or even in late autumn conditions with film covering. The variety withstands cold well and is a frost‑resistant perennial, allowing for harvest already in the second year after planting. Emerald Carpet is suitable for fresh consumption in salads and soups, as well as for canning or freezing, thanks to its durability and rich taste.
