Champion

CHAMPION – an early-maturing sorrel variety that quickly transitions from germination to the first selective harvest in 40–47 days. Plants are semi-erect, up to 40 cm tall, with leaves 25–30 cm in diameter, ensuring a large volume of greens in a short period.

Leaves are large, juicy, with a smooth surface and oval-elongated shape with a slight wavy edge. Color – bright green, taste is weakly sour, making it ideal for fresh salads, garnishes, light appetizers, and soups. Sorrel CHAMPION is also suitable for canning, maintaining its marketability without transitioning to bolting.

The variety is noted for high yield – 4–7 kg/m² (up to 7.5 kg/m² under optimal conditions). A long-lived cold-hardy plant ensures a stable yield even with different sowing periods. Containing significant amounts of vitamin C, carotene, and B-vitamins, sorrel CHAMPION is a valuable source of nutrients for healthy eating.
