LEGEND OF SIBERIA

LEGEND OF SIBERIA – an early-ripening winter-hardy perennial sorrel variety that attracts gardeners with its fast harvest: in the first year, the crop appears just 39‑42 days after planting, while in the second year, the time from growth to harvest is reduced to only 15 days. The bush is upright, 24‑26 cm in diameter and 26‑30 cm in height, forming a dense rosette of 38‑42 leaves.

The leaves of this variety have an elliptical shape, light green color, and large size, while maintaining a tender and juicy texture. The taste of the sorrel «LEGEND OF SIBERIA» is characterized by mild acidity – acidity of only 0.3 %. Due to the high content of carotene and ascorbic acid, the plant is considered one of the most nutritious among sorrels. In addition, the genetic feature of the variety allows it to accumulate nitrates in significantly smaller quantities compared to other varieties.

The benefits of «LEGEND OF SIBERIA» are not limited to fresh consumption: the leaves are suitable for canning and freezing, and can also be grown as a pot culture. The plant roots are used in folk medicine in the form of decoctions and powder, making it valuable both as a food product and a health aid.
