VOLUMINOUS INDIVIDUAL

VOLUMINOUS INDIVIDUAL – an early-maturing sorrel variety that reaches the first harvest just 50–54 days after germination. The leaf rosette is erect, 28–33 cm high, with large, elongated-ovate leaves measuring 10–14 cm in length and 6–8 cm in width. They are dark green, without anthocyanin, smooth or slightly blistered, with narrow petioles – 11–16 cm.

The leaf tissue is dense and juicy, with a slightly sour taste, making it popular both fresh and for canning. VOLUMINOUS INDIVIDUAL is noted for its cold hardiness and tolerance to wind, allowing it to be grown in both protected and open ground throughout the season, as well as in winter. Additionally, this variety is often used as a pot culture.

The plant's roots are used in folk medicine in Western European countries as a decoction and powder for treating cancer. When grown via seedlings in protected ground, a planting scheme of 20×20 cm is recommended, while soil sowing should be 20×5 cm. Yield over 3–4 cuts is 4–5 kg/m². The variety is also valued for its high vitamin and mineral content, making it suitable for all types of culinary processing.
