SANYKINA LYUBOV

The "Sanykina Lyubov" variety is a mid-season spring sorrel with bright green, juicy leaves that grow and increase in size with each warm day. The leaves have a fine light green color, narrow elliptical profile, and smooth surface, making them especially attractive for salads and other dishes. Due to the high content of ascorbic acid and carotene, as well as reduced acidity (0.7%), this variety is distinguished by improved taste characteristics and dietary value.

The growth period is 42–44 days from germination to the first cutting. The leaf rosette reaches a diameter of 38–40 cm, and the plant height is 25–30 cm. For open ground sowing, it is recommended to use April–May or June–July, with a planting depth of 1–1.5 cm and row spacing of 20–30 cm. After seedlings appear, thinning is carried out, leaving a distance of 10–15 cm between plants. Care of the crop includes timely watering and weeding.

Harvesting begins when leaves reach a length of about 10 cm, from late May to mid-September. During the summer, sorrel can be cut 4–5 times, ensuring a stable yield. This variety is especially valued by those looking for low-acid and tender-textured sorrel suitable for dietary nutrition and culinary experiments.
