Krepysh – an early-maturing perennial sorrel that delights with fresh greens as early as 50 days after sowing. The leaf rosette is erect, leaves are long and wide-elliptical, light green in color with a slight wrinkle; they have a slightly sour taste and weigh about 110 g per plant.
The variety is distinguished by high yield – up to 5 kg/m² when sown in April-May, as well as resistance to bolting. Krepysh recovers quickly after cutting and can grow in one place for five to six years without special requirements for soil and climate. This makes it an ideal choice for gardens where ease of cultivation and long-term operation are valued.
Sour-sweet leaves of sorrel are widely used in cuisine: added to soups, borscht, salads, fillings for pies, as well as pickled, canned, and dried. Due to the high content of vitamins and organic acids, the product is beneficial for digestion and supports the work of the gallbladder and liver.
