Prince F1 Celery is an ultra-early hybrid root celery developed by Nunhems from the Netherlands. It is intended for cultivation in open ground for fresh produce and processing. The vegetation period is approximately 100-110 days, during which roots reach a mass of 300 to 500 grams, and at full vegetation can weigh up to 1-1.1 kg. The roots have a round, regular shape, dense light-cream-colored structure, and very little fiber, ensuring a pleasant taste and high culinary value.
The plant is characterized by rapid and vigorous growth, resistance to bolting and stressful conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers. Prince Celery is distinguished by high resistance to bolting, absence of side shoots, and moderate growth vigor, which allows for extending the harvest period. The root system is fine, which does not damage the appearance of the roots, and smooth, uniform stems with minor indentations and strong leaf attachment make the variety convenient for harvesting and use whole or sliced.
To obtain ultra-early harvests, it is recommended to use cover materials and plant at a density of 65-90 thousand per hectare. The Prince harvest is well-stored and in demand on the fresh produce market due to its excellent taste and versatility in use.
