Root celery variety Monarh is a high-quality crop intended for growing large, round, and attractive root vegetables. This variety is distinguished by its exceptional celery aroma and snowy-white, firm flesh with a refined taste and high nutritional value. The flesh contains vitamin C, carotene, sugars, as well as calcium and phosphorus salts, making Monarh celery a nutritious and beneficial product.
Monarh celery is grown using seedlings, which allows for an early harvest when seeds are sown in early February in a warm greenhouse, and for a late harvest — in the second half of March. Seeds germinate in about 20 days, but to speed up the process, they are recommended to be pre-soaked in water for one to two days and germinated at a temperature of about 20°C. Optimal growing conditions for celery include a moderately cool climate with a temperature of 18-20°C and a moist, nutrient-rich soil. The crop is water-loving, so regular watering is necessary during dry periods, otherwise growth slows down and the roots become smaller.
Monarh celery has good storability and can be stored without quality loss for 8-9 months. Due to its flavor and nutritional qualities, this variety is ideal for use in fresh salads, hot dishes, preservation, and ragu, making it a versatile and sought-after product for both home and professional use.
