Ryzhik Omich – a spring variety with high oil content, reaching 41‑42% fat in seeds. Yield is about 22–23 t/ha, making it a competitive source of vegetable oil and feed cake.
The variety differs in stability against lodging, medium stability against drought, and resistance to a wide range of diseases: white mold, Fusarium, Alternaria, downy mildew, and stem rust. This ensures stable growth even in unfavorable climatic conditions. The plant is of medium height with green leaves, slightly hairy on the upper side, and seeds are yellow-brown.
The vegetation period is 65–80 days, which allows to quickly complete the sowing and harvesting cycle. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting, has medium 1000 seeds mass, and is resistant to white mold and Fusarium. Due to high oil content and yield indicators, Ryzhik Omich is an excellent choice for producing edible vegetable oil and feed cake.
