ADONIS

The variety of flaxseed 'ADONIS' (Camelina sativa L.) is intended for seed cultivation to obtain edible and technical oil. The plant is of medium height - about 75-77 cm, with a stem of medium length and thickness, green leaves without pubescence and with entire margins. Flowers are yellow, and the pod has a pear shape.

The seeds of this variety are reddish-brown (or yellowish-brown), the mass of 1000 seeds is 1.2 to 1.65 g, fat content is 39.7-40.5 %. The oil contains erucic acid in the range of 2.20-2.92 %, which makes it valuable for both the food industry and for the production of biofuel.

'ADONIS' is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to drought, lodging, shattering, and powdery mildew. The vegetative period of about 293-299 days allows for use of both autumn and spring sowings. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting and provides a seed yield of 22-24 c/ha at standard moisture.
