Description Uzen
UZEN' – this is a variety of camelina (Camelina sativa) intended for the production of oil from seeds. The plant has an average height of 56–68 cm, the growing period lasts for 78 days, and flowering and ripening times are in the medium range. The leaves of the plant are green, hairless, and weakly dissected, while its inflorescences are light yellow.

UZEN' seeds have a yellowish-brown color with a weight of 1.3 g per 1000 seeds and contain about 45 % fat. Erúcic acid is present in the oil at a level of 2.95 %, while glucosinolates are found in the meal at a level of 23.4 μmol/g. The seed yield at standard moisture levels ranges from 8.8 to 12.2 c/ha.

The variety is distinguished by its resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought, as well as powdery mildew, which makes it suitable for mechanized harvesting. When sown towards the end of the optimal spring season, there is a strong tendency to form inflorescences, increasing yield.
