KOZIR

The winter narys 'KOZIR' is a high-efficiency option for producing oilseeds. The plant is of medium height (70-75 cm), has an erect and branched stem, undivided green leaves. The flowers are small, yellow, and gathered in raceme-like inflorescences; the fruit is a multi-seeded pod 6-8 mm long, pear-shaped, which does not split upon ripening and usually contains 15-17 seeds. The seeds are elongated-oval in shape, yellow-brown in color with a shallow groove; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 1.2 to 1.4 g.

Key characteristics: growing season 290-296 days (including spring-summer period 72-78 days), seed yield - 1.6-2.2 t/ha (average 2.0 t/ha). Fat content varies from 39.0% to 40.5%, and erucic acid content is 3.0%-3.1%. Seed protein reaches 32.1%. Due to high oil recovery indicators (up to 0.75 t/ha), the 'KOZIR' variety ensures high economic results.

The variety is distinguished by drought resistance, lodging resistance, and root shattering resistance, as well as high winter hardiness (90-97%). It is not affected by downy mildew and cruciferous flea beetles. Thanks to these properties, 'KOZIR' is suitable for mechanized harvesting and is widely used in crop cultivation zones for the purpose of producing oilseeds, which is confirmed by its inclusion in the Russian Federation state register.
