TETRAMEDJIK – a pasture ryegrass with improved stress tolerance, designed for sports fields, parks, and home lawns. It features high wear resistance and a dense turf, ensuring rapid rooting and resistance to trampling. Thanks to a wide sowing period and recovery ability, this variety is suitable for both professional sports fields and private use.
Ryegrass grows in a perennial cycle, reaching heights up to 30 cm with regular mowing. The optimal growth temperature ranges from 18°C to 25°C, although the plant germinates at temperatures above +2°C and can withstand moderate frosts. Sowing is usually done in spring or autumn, while the rich green color persists until the first cold spells.
In terms of feed value, ryegrass has high nutritive value: 100 kg of grass corresponds to approximately 23 feed units, which significantly exceeds hay indicators. It recovers quickly after mowing and pairs well with other grasses, especially clover, acting as green manure and helping to prevent soil erosion. Maximum yield is achieved in the second year after sowing at a sowing rate of 100–140 g per 100 sq. m.
