Ryegrass DORICHE

Engineering the Perfect Turf: The 'Dorike' Advantage

The 'Dorike' ryegrass, developed by the German breeding house Deutsche Saatveredelung, is a product of rigorous selection focused on lawn quality. Unlike forage varieties, 'Dorike' is engineered specifically for dense, aesthetically pleasing, and biologically resilient turf. Its primary strength lies in its genetic resistance to environmental stressors that typically compromise turf health.

Advanced Biological Resilience

The hallmark of 'Dorike' is its natural resistance to common pathogens that plague decorative lawns. Research from the originator proves the variety’s high tolerance to two major threats:

• Fusarium (Snow Mold): Integrated defense mechanisms allow the grass to maintain vitality after snowmelt, preventing the widespread fungal colonization that often destroys less resilient varieties.
• Red Thread (Laetisaria fuciformis): 'Dorike' exhibits a rapid recovery rate following damage caused by this pathogen, making it an ideal choice for areas with poor ventilation or high moisture levels.

These traits are the result of superior tillering capacity, where the plant builds a dense root system that denies pathogens space to colonize the soil surface. This is more than just seed; it is a technological tool for landscape professionals aiming to minimize the need for fungicide intervention. By utilizing original stock from Deutsche Saatveredelung, users ensure high genetic purity, maintained through strict oversight at every stage of production—from pollination to packaging in Lippstadt-Bremen.
