Rye of the variety Polikrosne is a winter crop recommended for sowing in Polissia. This variety belongs to the medium-maturing group and was registered in 2003. Its main use is grain production, making it suitable for obtaining high-quality grain. The producer is the Verkhnyatska Experimental-Selection Station of the Institute of Sugar Beet.

The rye Polikrosne has characteristics typical of rye: the grain has an elongated shape and dark tint, with a slightly sour-honey flavor. The grain contains increased amounts of iodine, potassium, and fiber, making it beneficial for health. Rye is suitable for sprouting, flour and flakes production, and is used in bread, kvass, porridge, kissels, and sprouts production. Due to its nutritional qualities, this product is recommended for healthy weight loss, diabetes, and increased physical activity.

The cultivation of Polikrosne rye is conducted without the use of mineral fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides, ensuring the ecological purity of the grain. For storage, it is recommended to keep in a dry, dark place with a temperature from +5 to +18°C, with a storage period of about three months.
