Rye Polí 2

Reliable Yields in Challenging Soils

Winter rye "Poly 2" from the Verkhnyatska Experimental Station is a proven choice for farms seeking resilience in unstable climatic conditions. The primary value of this variety lies in its ability to deliver predictable grain volumes even on sandy loam or less productive soils where other cereals often fail to perform.

Field Performance and Management

• High Resistance to Lodging: This is the hallmark of the "Poly 2" variety. Despite its height, the straw possesses mechanical strength that prevents lodging, effectively mitigating yield losses during heavy rains or windstorms.
• Response to Input Management: The variety shows a strong positive response to nitrogen fertilization. This allows agronomists to fine-tune yield potential through precision feeding without the typical risk of the crop collapsing before harvest.
• Operational Efficiency: Due to its uniform growth habit and resistance to shattering, "Poly 2" simplifies harvesting logistics, allowing for efficient field operations even during short harvest windows.

Practical application scenario: Agronomists often integrate "Poly 2" into their crop rotation as a high-reliability crop. Its winter hardiness makes it a secure investment for regions with harsh winters, ensuring a stable supply of grain for both food processing and high-quality livestock feed.
