Rye MSG 2135

Danish Breeding for High Yields

The MСГ 2135 winter rye from Nordic Seed A/S is the result of years of breeding excellence led by Gilbert Melz. Developed under the Nordic Seed Germany umbrella, this variety represents the essence of the European approach to intensive agriculture. Unlike traditional varieties, MСГ 2135 demonstrates superior adaptability to the climatic stresses of northern latitudes, providing agronomists with a predictable and high-performing crop.

Key Advantages and Features

• Spike Stability: The genetics provided by the originator focus on forming a dense, well-filled grain with high hectoliter weight. This is critical for both the milling and animal feed industries.
• Winter Hardiness: As a product of the Scandinavian breeding school, this variety withstands temperature fluctuations and early spring frosts exceptionally well. The intense tillering allows the crop to cover the soil quickly, suppressing weed growth naturally.
• Lodging Resistance: Despite its high yield potential, the stalk possesses the necessary rigidity, which simplifies harvesting and minimizes grain loss during adverse weather conditions at the end of the season.

Who is this variety for?

MСГ 2135 is an optimal choice for farms focused on maximizing cereal production. While it demands strict adherence to technological protocols—particularly regarding fungicide applications and nitrogen management—it rewards such efforts with consistent yields. If you are looking for a crop that combines the reliability of Western breeding with predictable performance on large scales, this variety will be a valuable asset to your crop rotation. Note that MСГ 2135 achieves maximum efficiency on fertile soils with adequate moisture levels.
