Rye LSR 82

Winter Rye KWS LSR 82: A German Standard for Crop Stability

For modern agricultural businesses, the key to profitability lies in predictable results. KWS LSR 82, developed by Kws Lochow and Wilde Peer, represents a reliable choice for winter rye production, combining German breeding excellence with practical field performance. It is designed for farmers who prioritize consistency and ease of harvesting over speculative yield gains.

Field Performance and Management

The standout feature of KWS LSR 82 is its high resistance to lodging. In commercial farming, where nitrogen fertilization is essential for yield, crop lodging is a major risk that can lead to significant harvest losses and increased moisture content in the grain. LSR 82’s structural integrity allows it to withstand heavy rainfall and maintain its standability, even under intensive management practices.

Strategic Advantages for Your Operation:

• Optimized Harvesting: The strong stalk architecture ensures uniform ripening and easier harvesting, reducing combine downtime and mechanical losses in the field.
• Responsive to Inputs: This hybrid is engineered to convert high-level fertility into grain volume efficiently, making it an excellent candidate for intensive agricultural technology sets.
• Environmental Resilience: As a product of the KWS breeding program, the hybrid exhibits high adaptability, which helps mitigate the risks associated with unpredictable seasonal weather patterns.

Incorporating KWS LSR 82 into your crop rotation plan means choosing a hybrid that reduces operational risks. It is a tool built for precision, where the biological stability of the crop supports the mechanical efficiency of your machinery, ultimately securing a higher quality marketable yield.
