LSR 36 is a synthetic population of barley, representing a diploid form with a very short plant and semi-prostrate bush. The coleoptile is colored, and the flowering time varies from late to very late. The stem below the head has medium to strong pubescence, and the waxy coating on the head and the sheath of the flag leaf is at a medium to strong level. The leaf following the flag leaf is characterized by short length, and the head is semi-erect or horizontal, of medium density and short or medium length. The grain is characterized by medium size. This hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging and drought, as well as high winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 307 to 324 days, corresponding to a medium-maturing type. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 32-37 grams, indicating good grain quality. LSR 36 is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Middle Volga and Ural, where it shows a medium yield of about 32.8-35.4 centners per hectare. The hybrid is distinguished by a high fall number and protein content up to 10.7%, making it attractive for use in agriculture and the food industry.
