Description Arosa
Raspberry variety Arosa is the result of Italian breeding, obtained by crossing Chandler and Marbled varieties. This mid-late variety is characterized by high yield and excellent fruit flavor. Berries are large, conical or flattened conical in shape, with a bright red-orange shiny color. Average fruit weight ranges from 30 to 40 grams, sometimes reaching 60 grams. The flesh is dense, juicy, sweet, with a distinctive wine note, giving the berries a unique dessert flavor. Bushes are medium-sized, compact, with wide dark green leaves and strong flower stems capable of supporting large berries.

Arosa variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and can be successfully grown in the climatic conditions of Ukraine, where covering is not required in the south, while in more northern regions, winter protection is recommended. The raspberry is resistant to major diseases, including root rot, gray mold, and leaf spots, and has high transportability and long storage life, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. The plant quickly accumulates green mass and forms a large number of runners, facilitating propagation.

For successful cultivation of Arosa variety, planting on sunny, light, fertile soils with regular watering and fertilization with organic and mineral substances is recommended. The raspberry tolerates soil depletion well and can be grown both in open ground and in greenhouses, where creating high ridges helps reduce the need for watering and fertilization, and accelerates fruit ripening. Harvesting is gradual, starting from mid-June, allowing for fresh berries to be obtained over an extended period.
