Tarda

TARDA is a strawberry variety characterized by large, dense, and fleshy berries with a rich red color and a slight dark hue. The fruits have the shape of a truncated cone and weigh between 30 and 50 grams, with some reaching up to 40 grams. The berries have a bright strawberry aroma and sweet taste, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for making desserts, jams, compotes, and juices. The berry skin is bright, shiny, and sufficiently delicate, which contributes to good transportability of the fruits.

The plant forms large, strong bushes with dense green foliage and sturdy fruit stalks, ensuring the berries do not touch the ground. Tillering ability in this variety is weak, which simplifies care and planting. TARDA is distinguished by high yield — up to 0.8-1 kg of berries can be harvested from one bush per season. Fruiting begins around mid-July and continues for 2-4 weeks, until the onset of frost.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases and pests, allowing it to successfully withstand temperatures down to -22°C without freezing.
