Gera

The strawberry variety Hera was bred by the North Caucasian Federal Scientific Center of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking as a result of crossing the Zenga Prekosa and Aurora varieties. This variety is distinguished by its universal purpose and is suitable for both personal use and commercial cultivation. Bushes are of medium size, semi-spreading, about 10 cm high, which ensures the convenience of care and harvest collection. Berries are light red in color with a glossy surface, about 12 grams in weight, have a sweet-and-sour taste and a pronounced strawberry aroma, which makes them especially attractive to consumers.

Hera is characterized by a medium speed of ripening and high yield, reaching 19.7 tons per hectare. Berries withstand transportation and storage well, which expands the possibilities of their realization on the market. The variety is resistant to winter cold, diseases and pests, including phytophthora, fusarium, snails, ants, aphids and strawberry mites. For disease prevention, regular treatment of leaves with colloidal sulfur is recommended.

For successful cultivation of strawberries Hera, regular care is required, including watering 1-2 times a week, fertilizing several times during the season, soil loosening and cutting off runners. The plant develops well in both sunny areas and semi-shade, which allows it to be adapted to various growing conditions.
