Vektra

The winter rapeseed hybrid Vektra, developed by Bayer and recommended for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine, is an early-maturing and resilient crop. Plants feature vigorous growth and a well-developed root system, providing high resistance to adverse conditions including drought and low temperatures. The vegetation period lasts up to 280 days, with early flowering that promotes timely harvest maturity.

Vektra is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, shattering, and pests, significantly reducing yield losses and improving product quality. Plants reach a height of approximately 165 cm, exhibit moderate autumn development, and show active spring growth. The hybrid has high oil content and very low glucosinolate levels, making its production particularly valuable for processing.

The yield potential of Vektra is 45–55 centners per hectare, enabling stable and high yields when agronomic recommendations are followed. The hybrid is suitable for late and optimal sowing, as well as direct seeding, simplifying cultivation technology and reducing costs.
