Brentano

Brentano is a highly plastic winter rapeseed hybrid of medium maturity group developed by Bayer. It is versatile and suitable for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, including various soil types, even those with low levels of micro- and macro-elements. The hybrid demonstrates high stress tolerance, able to withstand extreme weather conditions such as severe frosts, and exhibits good spring vegetation recovery after winter. Brentano is recommended to be sown in early and standard sowing dates, while late sowing is undesirable.

Plants of the hybrid reach a height of 160-165 cm, with pod length averaging 6-7 cm. The vegetative period lasts from 250 to 280 days, with flowering occurring late. Brentano has high yield potential with up to 45-55 centners per hectare, along with high oil content and very low glucosinolate levels, enhancing product quality. The hybrid shows high resistance to phoma and lodging, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.

Thanks to its combination of winter hardiness, disease resistance, tolerance to stress conditions, and high plasticity regarding sowing dates, Brentano is one of the most reliable and productive winter rapeseed hybrids on the market. It is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of the country and ensures stable yield and quality performance when recommended agronomic practices are followed.
