Wendie

Wendie — a high-yielding winter rapeseed hybrid of type 00, characterized by high oil content and excellent cold resistance. This mid-early hybrid is distinguished by high yields, reaching up to 60 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds, ranging from 40% to 51.4%. Plants have medium to medium-high height, round stems with 7-8 first-order branches densely covered with pods lacking beaks. Leaves are green, medium in length and width with moderate serration. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 4.3 g.

The hybrid Wendie is adapted for cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine and is recommended for seed production. It exhibits high resistance to frost and drought, ensuring reliable development and preservation of crops under various climatic conditions. Plants demonstrate high growth vigor at the beginning of vegetation and are capable of rapid regeneration in spring. Flowering occurs in mid-early periods, and the vegetative period lasts about 277 days.

Sowing of Wendie is possible over a wide range of dates — from mid-August to early September — allowing adaptation of agronomy to specific regional climatic conditions. Sowing rate varies depending on sowing time: from 350,000 to 600,000 seeds per hectare. Seeds germinate quickly and produce uniform seedlings, which contributes to the formation of strong and healthy plants. Due to its qualities, Wendie is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality rapeseed with high oil content.
