Sunflower LG50639 SX

Ensuring Stability in High-Risk Environments

French breeding from Limagrain has long been synonymous with reliability, and the LG50639 SX sunflower hybrid is a prime example. This hybrid is tailored for farmers operating under intense pathogen pressure, where standard varieties often fail to maintain consistency. The key differentiator here is the comprehensive tolerance to the diseases that annually strip away potential yields in Southern and Central European regions.

The Power of Genetic Protection

If your fields are prone to soil-borne or leaf infections, the LG50639 SX provides a significant advantage in securing your harvest. The hybrid demonstrates superior endurance in conditions where others falter due to:

• Phomopsis and Phoma: Genetic resilience preserves the leaf surface area until full maturity, ensuring grain fill.
• Various Rots: Enhanced immunity against a wide range of pathogens prevents stem lodging and harvesting losses.
• Charcoal Rot: This specific resistance makes the hybrid a top choice for arid regions with high soil temperatures, where roots are often under stress.

Agronomic Profile

Standing at a moderate height of 170–180 cm, the plant features a well-balanced structure that simplifies machine operation and minimizes mechanical losses. The medium-sized head is designed for optimal seed set, preventing the stem overload often seen in larger, less stable varieties. It is not an oversized plant prone to collapsing, but a robust and precise farming tool.

Who is this product for? Primarily for farmers utilizing the Clearfield (SX) production system, where weed control and disease mitigation are critical. You gain a predictable result without the unpleasant surprises of sudden stem rot or premature head drying. Limagrain developed this hybrid for those who value stability over the pursuit of record-breaking but high-risk figures. If you prioritize health, durability, and a consistent ROI, the LG50639 SX is a foundational element for your farming operation.
