Winter Oilseed Rape «DK Ektrakt»: Field Performance Review

When choosing a hybrid, a producer looks for a balance between high yield potential and risk management. Monsanto's «DK Ektrakt» has proven itself in the field as a reliable performer that doesn't falter under pressure. This simple linear hybrid is designed for growers who prioritize consistency in their winter oilseed rape production.

Crop Protection and Resilience

The biggest challenge in oilseed rape cultivation is disease pressure, which can erode profits before harvest even begins. «DK Ektrakt» stands out due to its inherent resistance to Phoma stem canker and Cylindrosporium leaf spot. This genetic resilience is a major operational advantage, as it allows for a more efficient fungicide application schedule without compromising the health of the crop.

Yield and Harvest Logistics

Reaching a potential of 60–70 c/ha is a tangible goal for this hybrid when standard intensive technology is applied. One of the most critical features is its uniform ripening. When harvest time comes, you aren't fighting with uneven drying or shattered pods, which saves time, fuel, and keeps losses at the header to a absolute minimum.

Practical Insights for Producers

• Early Development: High germination energy ensures an even stand, even under suboptimal moisture conditions during planting.
• Structural Integrity: The plants are robust, showing great resistance to lodging, which simplifies harvesting operations.
• Economic Predictability: Given its consistent performance, it is a stable choice for budget-conscious agricultural planning.

«DK Ektrakt» is a hybrid for those who value efficiency. It’s an honest, high-performing crop that delivers exactly what is expected from a high-quality Monsanto seed, turning potential into actual yield in the bin.
