SY MATTEO

SY MATTEO — this is a winter rapeseed variety, distinguished by high winter hardiness and adapted to modern soil tillage technologies, such as Strip-Till and Mini-Till. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 79.7 centners/ha, and high oil content in seeds — from 42 to 48%. The oil has high quality, with zero erucic acid content and glucosinolate levels below 10 micromoles/g, making it valuable for the food industry. The recommended planting density is approximately 50 seeds per square meter, corresponding to 450,000–600,000 seeds per hectare depending on sowing time and conditions.

The SY MATTEO hybrid exhibits plasticity and stability, belonging to a moderately intensive type. Plants are of medium height — from 150 to 160 cm, depending on soil moisture availability. Due to its compact form and strong stem, the variety is resistant to lodging, ensuring yield preservation. Slow development in autumn makes this variety suitable for early sowing, expanding agronomic possibilities. High resistance to diseases such as phomopsis and cylindrosporiosis, as well as to seed cracking and TuYV virus, increases cultivation reliability.

SY MATTEO is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, confirmed by its adaptation to local climatic conditions and soils. Its medium-late maturation and medium flowering period allow flexible planning of agronomic activities. High winter hardiness and drought resistance make this variety a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality rapeseed harvest.
