Rapeseed LG ALPINE

Stable yields under high infection pressure

Selecting the «LG Alpina» hybrid from Limagrain is a strategic choice for farms frequently dealing with viral diseases and fungal infections in winter oilseed rape. French breeding focuses not only on yield potential but also on crop resilience under stressful conditions.

Pathogen protection as a key to profitability

The primary value of this hybrid lies in its robust genetic shield. The practical application of «LG Alpina» is highly justified in fields with a high risk of phoma stem canker and cylindrosporiosis. Resistance to beet yellows virus and turnip yellows virus (TuYV) helps reduce expenses on insecticide treatments against vectors (aphids), allowing the plant to conserve its growth energy for pod development.

Sowing recommendations

To achieve targeted yield benchmarks, it is essential to adhere to recommended plant density. Depending on the soil fertility and sowing dates, the optimal seeding rate varies from 400,000 to 500,000 germinating seeds per hectare. This approach ensures an uniform stand with optimal branching, which is critical for even maturation across the entire field.

• Type: simple line hybrid of winter oilseed rape.
• Key advantages: high immunity to a complex of diseases (phoma, cylindrosporiosis, viral pathogens).
• Agrotechnics: intensive type, requiring density management up to 500k seeds/ha.

Using «LG Alpina» minimizes risks associated with biological factors, providing predictable results even in challenging growing seasons.
