Rapeseed SY Medal is a valuable oilseed hybrid designed for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. This mid-late maturing variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, ensuring stable plant development even under adverse climatic conditions. Plant height reaches 160–170 cm, and potential yield can reach 50 centners per hectare. Rapeseed is distinguished by high seed oil content, making it in demand in food, chemical, and biofuel industries.
The plant belongs to the Brassicaceae family and exhibits rapid spring development, as well as moderate-intensity growth in autumn. Rapeseed leaves are green and covered with a waxy coating, while stems are branched and hairy. Flowers are small and yellow, producing abundant nectar, making rapeseed attractive to bees and facilitating pollination. Additionally, rapeseed green mass is a highly nutritious feed, containing twice as much protein as corn, making it beneficial for animal feeding.
To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to follow sowing norms of 450,000 to 600,000 seeds per hectare. Rapeseed SY Medal requires careful agronomic care, including proper sowing time and plant maintenance throughout the vegetation period. Due to its adaptive properties and resistance to diseases such as cylindrical sporidiomycosis, this hybrid ensures stable and high yields, making it a profitable choice for agricultural producers.
