Galits'kyi

Galitsky is a spring rapeseed variety distinguished by high content of phenolic compounds, which exhibit inhibitory activity against pancreatic lipase. Studies included qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenolic compounds using column and thin-layer chromatography, allowing identification and isolation of polyphenols, as well as assessment of their biological activity. These properties make this variety promising for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Seeds of the winter rapeseed hybrid SVAROG, belonging to the mid-early maturity type, are characterized by high cold resistance and extensive branching. The slow development rate of the main stem prolongs the sowing period, enabling more efficient utilization of soil moisture and nutrients. The hybrid exhibits an intensive growth type, with a vegetation period of 300–305 days, 1000-seed mass of 4.5 g, oil content reaching 49%, and plant height of about 170 cm.

The yield potential of the hybrid reaches up to 70 centners per hectare, with average yields over test years reaching 40 centners per hectare. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to various diseases and stress factors, including drought tolerance, fusarium, black leg, powdery mildew, sclerotinia, alternaria, and bacterial diseases, as well as excellent winter hardiness. These characteristics make the Galitsky variety a reliable and productive choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
