Thorin

Rapeseed Thorin is a medium-early, intensive type hybrid intended for winter cultivation. It is characterized by a high genetic yield potential of up to 85 centners per hectare, with an average yield of 53 centners per hectare, confirmed by multi-year trials. The hybrid features a high oil content in seeds — 49%, making it attractive for oil production. Plant height is approximately 180 cm, and the vegetation period lasts 300–305 days, corresponding to medium-early maturity.

Thorin exhibits high adaptability to various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. It maintains stable yields even under stress conditions due to strong resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as phoma, blackleg, downy mildew, sclerotinia, alternaria, and bacterial blight. The hybrid also shows high cold and drought tolerance, ensuring reliable crops across different regions.

The recommended seeding rate is 350–500 thousand seeds per hectare, with early and optimal sowing dates being optimal. Seeds are coated and packaged in paper bags, facilitating storage and sowing. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and adaptability, rapeseed Thorin is a reliable choice for conventional cultivation technology in Ukraine.
