Opus

Red Opos is an early variety of round radish with a distinctive type characterized by red with a white tip. The vegetative period from germination to technical maturity is 25-30 days, allowing for harvest in a short time. The roots are round or elliptical, 4-5 cm in diameter, and weigh 20-35 grams. Their bright red skin with a white tip has a shiny surface and fine texture. The flesh is white, dense, juicy, and has a mildly spicy flavor without bitterness, making it attractive to consumers.

The Opos variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 50-65 tons per hectare, and uniform crop maturity. The radish has medium-sized foliage and a weakly leafy type, which simplifies crop care. It is cold-resistant and tolerates low light conditions, expanding its cultivation possibilities in various climates. The radish is not prone to wilting and maintains the firmness of its roots for a long time, positively affecting the product's market appearance.

To successfully grow the Opos variety, certain agronomic practices should be followed. Seeds should be sown at a depth of about 1.5 cm with a rate of 1.2-2 g per square meter, with an optimal plant density of about 200 plants per square meter. Radish does not tolerate excessive amounts of nitrogen and organic fertilizers, as well as overcrowded plantings. After germination, the soil should be regularly loosened and kept moist, especially during drought, as water deficiency significantly reduces root productivity. The variety is resistant to powdery mildew and white rot, reducing disease risk and increasing yield stability.
