Radish Koroleva Margo

Agrobiological Profile: Radish "Koroleva Margo"

This breeding product from VNIISSOK is engineered for early-stage vegetable production during the spring season. The cultivar's genotype is optimized for short daylight hours, a critical factor in preventing bolting when planting early in the season.

Morphology and Growth Cycle

The root system produces consistently round bulbs, which simplifies post-harvest sorting and grading. A typical mature bulb weighs between 25 and 30 grams. The genetic architecture of this variety allows it to reach technical maturity within 25–30 days, positioning it as a highly competitive option for the ultra-early vegetable market.

Cultivation and Technical Advantages

• Thermal Adaptation: The variety shows resilience to fluctuating temperatures typical of early spring weather patterns.
• Yield Uniformity: High crop uniformity minimizes culling rates, ensuring a predictable and consistent yield per square meter.
• Product Quality: The intense red skin, paired with a firm flesh structure, provides excellent shelf life and ensures the produce retains its commercial appeal during transport and distribution.

Using seed stock from VNIISSOK ensures varietal purity and strict adherence to the specified technical parameters. Proper water management and nutritional support are essential to maintaining the crisp, succulent texture of the roots during the rapid growth phase.
