Baklažan Bibo F1 — ultra-early white-fleshed hybrid developed by breeders of the Dutch company Seminis. This variety is distinguished by its rapid maturity: the first fruits can be harvested as early as 50-55 days after transplanting seedlings. The plant is medium-sized, reaching up to 80 cm in height, with a semi-spreading form, short internodes, and sturdy, slightly hairy stems covered in dense foliage. To increase yield, it is recommended to form the bush with two stems and tie up the plant. Approximately 14-15 fruits form per bush, and the optimal planting density is 20-25 thousand plants per hectare. Baklažan Bibo F1 fruits have an oval shape, reaching dimensions of 8x18 cm and a weight of 300-400 g. The skin is snow-white, and the flesh is light, almost white, without bitterness, ensuring high taste quality. The fruits are uniform and mature together, which facilitates harvest collection. Thanks to their structure and taste, baklažans of this hybrid retain their qualities for a long time after harvest. A feature of the variety is the presence of numerous small spines on the calyx of the fruit. The Bibo F1 hybrid is resistant to unfavorable growing conditions, including sharp temperature fluctuations, and continues to set fruit even under extreme conditions. It possesses immunity to fusarium wilt and tobacco mosaic virus, which significantly reduces disease risks. The plant responds well to fertilizer application and is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in heated and unheated film greenhouses. A powerful root system contributes to high productivity and stable crop development.
