Radish Donatella

Professional Choice: Donatella Radish from Hazera

In the competitive world of vegetable production, the genetics developed by the Israeli company Hazera are synonymous with consistency and efficiency. The "Donatella" radish is a benchmark variety in the professional sector, highly valued by greenhouse producers and open-field farmers alike for its ability to produce uniform, high-quality yields under diverse environmental conditions.

Resilience as a Core Feature

One of the most critical challenges in radish cultivation is disease pressure, particularly in moisture-rich environments. Donatella sets itself apart with its robust resistance to common pathogens, including Rhizoctonia, Peronospora, and various types of soft rot. This natural resilience reduces the need for aggressive chemical interventions and ensures that the root structure remains intact, crisp, and marketable throughout the harvesting period.

Key Technical Specifications

• Maturation Cycle: With a short growth period of 20–25 days, Donatella allows for efficient crop rotation and multiple harvest cycles per season.
• Market Quality: The roots develop a perfect round shape with a consistent weight of 20–25 grams. Its striking, bright red exterior maintains its luster post-harvest, meeting the strict requirements of retail chains.
• Seasonal Versatility: Designed for spring, summer, and autumn planting, this hybrid adapts to changing day lengths and temperature fluctuations without loss of texture or quality.

For large-scale agricultural operations, Donatella provides the benefit of uniformity. The seeds deliver reliable germination, and the plants mature simultaneously, which simplifies harvest logistics and reduces manual labor costs. The lack of pithiness (hollow centers) and the excellent skin durability make it a standout for transport and long-term shelf storage.

Choosing Donatella means investing in a proven solution from Hazera. It is a reliable tool for growers who prioritize high-yield potential and high-quality standards, ensuring that the product arriving on the shelves is as consistent as the plant in the field.
