Radish Blanka

White root excellence: Why «Blanka» from Semo fits your rotation

«Blanka» radish, developed by the Czech breeder Semo, is a strategic choice for growers focused on consistent, year-round production. Its primary advantage in a farming operation is its predictable 30–35 day maturity cycle, allowing for efficient planning of harvests throughout both the spring and autumn growing windows.

Field performance and usage

• Marketability: Unlike standard red varieties, Blanka features a distinctive round white root. This makes it an excellent choice for diversifying product lines and standing out in local markets or supermarkets.
• Operational efficiency: The variety produces uniform roots, which significantly reduces the time and labor required for sorting and bunching before hitting the market.
• Seasonal versatility: Ideally suited for open-field conditions, this variety handles the temperature fluctuations of the early spring and autumn seasons well, maintaining its crisp texture and clean white appearance.

For commercial growers, incorporating Blanka into a cropping schedule helps prevent market saturation by offering a unique alternative to classic red radishes. The variety does not require complex technological intervention; it responds best to consistent moisture management, which is key to preventing fiber development or pithiness in the root. If you are looking for a reliable, short-cycle crop to maximize land utility, Blanka from Semo offers the combination of rapid maturity and high consumer appeal.
