Radish Alpha

High-Speed Production: Why 'Alpha' Saves Time

In the ultra-early vegetable segment, the key metric is not just flavor, but crop turnover speed. The 'Alpha' radish is a precision tool for this: under optimal conditions, technical maturity is reached in just 18–20 days after germination. This allows growers to harvest up to three times during a single spring season or maximize field utilization in the autumn.

Agricultural Specifications

An international breeding achievement, resulting from collaboration between the All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops and China’s Jinghaisilu, this hybrid offers several distinct advantages:

• Uniformity: The roots maintain a consistent rounded shape, significantly simplifying post-harvest handling and increasing market appeal.
• Seasonal Versatility: The hybrid adapts well to both spring temperature fluctuations and the shorter daylight hours of autumn while maintaining high product quality.
• The Speed Trade-off: Its extremely short cycle requires agronomic precision. 'Alpha' does not tolerate irrigation delays—moisture stress can lead to a loss of succulence, while delaying harvest can cause the core to become pithy.

Who is this hybrid for?

'Alpha' is the choice for professionals focused on fast-paced markets and local retail, where capital turnover is critical. This is not a "long-shelf-life" radish meant for stockpiling; it is a "just-in-time" crop. It is optimal for tunnel greenhouses and open fields with well-managed irrigation systems. Unlike many open-pollinated varieties, the hybrid nature of 'Alpha' ensures predictable results across mass plantings, making it a reliable workhorse for intensive vegetable production.
