The Eline pear variety is a rootstock developed by the Dutch nursery Fleuren and intended for growing pears, including on an industrial scale. This rootstock is characterized by high cold resistance, tolerating temperatures down to -25...-28 degrees, making it suitable for cultivation in northern regions. It is compatible with most pear varieties and promotes high yield and fruit quality. Registered in the USA, Europe, and Ukraine, which confirms its reliability and efficiency.
Trees grown on the Eline rootstock reach a height of 3-3.5 meters and are characterized by easy crown formation, simplifying care and harvest. Fruits ripen in August-September, have a yellow color, and weigh about 230-250 grams. The flavor of the fruits is creamy with a slightly tart-sweet taste. Flowering occurs in May-June, and fruiting begins as early as the 2nd-3rd year after planting.
For successful cultivation, trees should be planted on well-lit areas with a planting depth of about 40 cm and width of 80 cm. Approximately five waterings are required during the season. The rootstock is packaged in cardboard boxes. Due to its characteristics, the Eline rootstock is suitable for creating dwarf trees, enabling the cultivation of pears in dense plantings and effectively utilizing space.
