Pumpkin variety Nekhtarnaya belongs to the muskmelon pumpkins (Cucurbita moschata Duchesne) and is characterized by mid-season maturation and vine growth type. The fruits have a pear shape and are colored orange-brown with a waxy coating. The weight of one fruit varies from 3 to 7 kg. Pumpkin pulp is dense, orange, juicy, and has a good taste. The composition of the pulp contains 8.7% dry matter, 5.1% total sugar, and 17.3 mg of carotene per 100 g of raw product, which makes this variety useful and nutritious.

The yield of the Nekhtarnaya variety is about 4.9 kg of marketable fruits per square meter. The pumpkin has good transportability and can maintain its market quality for 90-100 days after harvest. For successful cultivation, it is important to take into account agrotechnical techniques such as vine formation, spraying, and pollination, which contribute to obtaining high and high-quality yields.

For long-term storage, it is recommended to choose completely intact fruits without damage or signs of rot. The optimal storage conditions include a temperature from 5 to 15°C and air humidity of 70–75%. If these conditions are met, the Nekhtarnaya pumpkin can be stored for several months, which allows it to be used as food for an extended period after harvest.
