Cucurbita pepo var. maxima 'Rouge Vif de Taureau' is one of the most high-yielding and low-maintenance varieties, distinguished by large fruits weighing 10 to 20 kg. This mid-late maturing variety ripens in 110-115 days from the emergence of seedlings and has a characteristic slightly flattened fruit shape with a bright red-orange color. The melon flesh is juicy, containing approximately 6% dry matter, as well as an elevated content of sugar and carotene, making it especially beneficial for children's nutrition and processing into juice and various porridges.

This variety of melon is distinguished by high yield — on average 100 tons per hectare in Ukraine, making it profitable for farmers. The plant has a strong leaf system with vines up to 3 meters long, which aids rapid adaptation to changing climatic conditions. Moreover, the 'Rouge Vif de Taureau' melon is not demanding regarding soil type and care, significantly simplifying its cultivation.
