EF 22

EF 22 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of medium-late type, characterized by high yield and complex resistance to drought and diseases. The vegetation period is 80-97 days, which is 2-3 days later than the Silver variety. The plant is of medium height with a semi-erect bush and weakly compacted straw, resistant to lodging, shattering, and germination of grains on the root and in windrows. The ear is cylindrical, of medium density, white in color with a strong waxy bloom, which contributes to protection from adverse conditions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 41 grams, the grain is colored, a variety of erytrospermum.

The variety is characterized by a high content of zinc in the grain (on average 46 mg/kg), as well as a high level of protein (more than 14%) and gluten (25-30%), which ensures satisfactory baking qualities. With complex feeding, the variety demonstrates an increase in yield of up to 1 ton per hectare and improvement of grain quality. Average yield in the West Siberian region reaches 24.5 c/ha, which is 3.9 c/ha above the average standard. EF 22 is recommended for cultivation in South Forest-steppe and Lowland Steppe of Omsk region.

This variety is universal in application and suitable for various agro-technical conditions, including areas with insufficient moisture due to its drought resistance. It is intended for sowing and growing in cereal crops, ensuring stable and high yields. Due to its characteristics, EF 22 is a modern high-yielding variety that combines resistance to adverse factors and high grain quality.
