BAGANOCHKA

Baganochka is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), created through complex interspecific hybridization followed by multi-generational selection. It belongs to mid-early and medium-maturing varieties with a vegetative period of 75 to 85 days, allowing it to mature simultaneously with varieties such as Altayskaya 70, Tulaikovskaya Zolotistaya, and Hercules. The plant is of medium height, drought-resistant, and resistant to lodging, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Lower Volga, Urals, Western Siberia regions, as well as Volgograd, Saratov, Kurgan, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk oblasts, and the Altai Krai.

The variety is characterized by good baking qualities, high protein content in the grain (around 17%), and gluten content (29.5%), as well as vitreousness at the level of 53%. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 29 to 42 grams, which corresponds to average indicators for growing regions. Baganochka has moderate resistance to brown rust and powdery bunt, while being susceptible to covered bunt. Grain quality corresponds to the level of strong wheat, making it in demand for the baking industry.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions due to its drought resistance and adaptability. It has been included in the State Register of the Russian Federation since 2023 and is approved for use in several regions, confirming its stability and high yield, reaching in some regions 35.5 centners per hectare. Baganochka is a reliable choice for agricultural producers aiming to obtain high-quality grain with good technological characteristics.
