Description BEZENCHUKSKAYA YUBILEYNAIA
Bezenchukskaya Yubileynaya is a medium-early type variety of hard spring wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) with a vegetative period ranging from 78 to 92 days. The plant is of medium length, with an erect or semi-erect bush and medium straw thickness. The ear is pyramidal, white in color, of medium length and density, with white awns longer than the ear. The kernel is elongated, white or very light, with a short or medium awn. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 51 grams depending on the growing region. A waxy coating on the ear, flag leaf sheath, and straw neck is expressed very strongly, contributing to the plant's resistance to adverse conditions. The variety is characterized by good pasta qualities and high productivity. Average yield in various regions ranges from 21.0 to 33.3 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators reaching 60.0 c/ha in the Republic of Mordovia and 51.7 c/ha in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Bezenchukskaya Yubileynaya demonstrates resistance to lodging and drought at a level equal to or above standard varieties, as well as moderate resistance to hard head smut and brown rust. At the same time, the variety is susceptible to powdery head smut and is weakly affected by powdery mildew and stem rust. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Middle Volga, Ural regions, as well as the Republics of Mordovia, Bashkortostan, and the Penza and Samara regions. Due to its adaptability and resistance to moisture deficit, the variety is suitable for cultivation in arid climate conditions. High protein and gluten content in the grain makes Bezenchukskaya Yubileynaya attractive for the production of pasta and other hard wheat products.
