The Taurus potato variety is mid-early maturing, with a vegetative period of 90 to 115 days, and the first harvestable yield can be collected as early as 75-90 days. Plants form 9-11 medium-sized round tubers with yellow skin and creamy flesh. The tubers contain 17-18% starch and approximately 24% dry matter, making this variety especially suitable for frying, baking, and chip production due to its delicate flavor.

The Taurus variety exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including late blight of leaves and tubers, common scab, as well as nematodes of various races (Ro1, Ro4, Ro5) and viruses PVYn and PVYntn. Additionally, it shows enhanced drought tolerance and stress resistance to adverse weather conditions, ensuring stable yields of up to 500 centners per hectare and excellent transportability.
