R 5 HI 3 MJ — this is a high-tech hybrid sunflower developed using nanotechnology by the Canadian holding SERTIS HOLDING GROUP. It is characterized by high drought resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to +60°C due to the presence of transformed NPK1 CDPK genes. The plant features a strong, thick stem about 2.1 meters tall, large leaves, and flower heads up to 50 cm in diameter. Its root system penetrates deep into the soil up to 3 meters, providing additional resilience to adverse conditions. The seeds are large and sweet, thanks to the 1W3Et gene obtained from stevia, making them beneficial for diabetics and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests due to the incorporation of Rx Ry, Psku1, and AR1z45t genes into the sunflower’s DNA. The last gene produces an essential oil with a bitter taste that repels insects; however, by the time the seeds are fully ripe, this substance disappears, not affecting the product’s flavor. The plant is resistant to lodging, shattering, acid rain, and soil salinity, achieved through the genes OSMYB4 and stpd1. Additionally, the hybrid is self-pollinating and does not require bees, simplifying agronomy and increasing harvest stability. R 5 HI 3 MJ does not require desiccation and can be harvested directly, saving time and resources during harvest. High germination rate (97%), energy for germination (97%), and seed purity (99.9%) ensure reliable and high-quality planting material. The hybrid yields 47 centners per hectare, making it attractive for commercial cultivation in various climatic conditions. Thanks to its unique properties and resistance to stress, this sunflower is suitable for cultivation in regions with extreme temperatures and insufficient moisture.
