Potato Red Fantasy

German Excellence in Table Potato Breeding

In the market of fresh-market potatoes, «Red Fantasy» by the renowned German brand Europlant Pflanzenzucht occupies a premium niche. This variety is the result of years of dedicated breeding by Germany's leading institutes, specifically designed for farmers who refuse to compromise between shelf-appeal and culinary quality.

Agronomic Potential and Disease Resistance

The crop demonstrates exceptional field performance, which is vital for maintaining consistent yields. «Red Fantasy» not only shows robust resistance to the potato cyst nematode but also possesses a strong immunity profile against a complex of viral diseases, including Potato Virus Y, Potato Leafroll Virus, and Potato Virus A. This inherent protection, combined with resistance to common scab and blackleg, allows for a reduction in chemical crop protection inputs, effectively lowering production costs.

Appearance and Culinary Profile

«Red Fantasy» tubers are instantly recognizable by their elongated-oval shape and smooth red skin. The shallow eyes of this variety make it a favorite among processors and retail consumers alike, as the produce is extremely easy to process. Inside, the tuber features a firm, yellow flesh with a starch content of 14-15%. This is the optimal range for a table potato, ensuring it holds its shape during cooking while maintaining excellent taste and visual appeal.
